Try DxDesigner Virtually

Released this week is the DxDesigner 7.9.4 highlights Virtual Lab that walks you through all of the new features in Mentor Graphics’ DxDesigner 7.9.4.  Instead of downloading large installation files, setting up the software on your own computer, getting a license, and then creating a demonstration design, we can now deliver the software preinstalled on a virtual machine in the cloud with demonstration designs ready for your evaluation. The vLab will prepare you for the installation of DxDesigner on your own system and familiarize you with enhancing tools introduced with EE 7.9.4 and the PADS 9.5 releases.

See and explore the capabilities of DxDesigner by using layered graphics, custom font styles, graphical rule checks, links and more in this lab structured to give you a jump start with schematic designs for PCBs.

You can sign up for the DxDesigner Virtual Lab at http://www.mentor.com/products/pcb-system-design/design-creation/dxdesigner.  We know you are busy, so if you get started and run out of evaluation time, the vLab will remain available for 30 days.

I have saw that Viewdraw get improved much in 7.9.4 and there are much features which designer hope thier front-end have. However there are some feature Viewdraw missed or not get re-fined

1) support to add suffix to physical net names inside hirarchy blocks. Currently, it only support to add suffix to Ref Dess inside hirarchy blocks
2)support to color symbel instances
3)support to do comparision between designs. visEDATA seems have this feature, hope Viewdraw also add this feature
4)support to use command script to manipulate schematics, such as changing color/width of wires and bus, changing visibility of properties, replacing properities
